“Connectedness has the power to counterbalance adversity”-Bruce Perry
Life can be challenging and messy at times – especially if we have had some trauma in our childhood. Do you feel your childhood was missing emotional connections? Do you feel you struggled to attach to others or feel your environment was not safe? Maybe you had a parent that struggled with a mental illness and they were not always there to support you.
Through our challenges, personal history, and perception, our life can look unbalanced. We cannot change our past, but we can process it, examine things, and redefine it.
As a Licensed Masters Social Worker and trauma therapist fluent in Spanish, I specialize in treating children under the age of five, as well as trauma across the lifespan. I have also had experience working with women in the perinatal period for the past three years.
I truly understand that you want to be the best version of yourself, which can be difficult when you have obstacles like past trauma, fears, or even anger holding you back or getting in the way. I believe that a therapeutic relationship is key to overcoming adversity and building skills to achieve success. As your therapist, my goal is to create a safe environment that’s mutually respectful where you can build trust, feel seen, and be heard.
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from Denver University

On a personal note:
I served 12 years in the military and saw many places. I have settled here in Clarksville for the past 7 years and love being outside enjoying nature. When I am not in sessions with clients, I am spending time with friends and family, as well as gardening and trying to learn new things.
Areas of Specialty:
I am passionate about helping individuals who have experienced complex trauma heal. I also enjoy equipping parents by helping them develop the skills they need to cope with big life changes and bond with their little ones.
