What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

As a counselor, I believe everyone has the potential to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth with the proper support. I became a counselor because I am passionate about being an empathetic and encouraging presence in the lives of both children and adults. My work is founded in the belief that people are resilient, and – given the proper tools – are capable of more than they know. Together, we will determine goals that are important to you and identify personalized interventions to help make those goals a reality. Whether you are healing from trauma, facing depression, or simply navigating life, we can work together to challenge aspects of your life that may not be working for you while identifying personal strengths and discovering new ways to heal. Before working to become a counselor, I served as a Victim Advocate helping those who had experienced intimate partner violence and worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) with children with Autism using behavioral interventions to help with a variety of presenting issues.

On a personal note:

When I am not at school or working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs, gardening, and working on home improvement projects. My favorite place to be is at the beach!
